Route map here

Wednesday afternoon I don’t have class at university so after some lunch and doing a few bits of work for uni I decided to head out for an hour. In London they have been having some bad pollution because of a dust cloud that has come up from the Saharan Desert and it kind of felt like it had come over our way too! Very dull and muggy day, felt like there was a heavy air hanging in the air.

My roady friend who I chased up the hill (I think he noticed I was taking a cheeky photo of him!)

Going up the hill which starts just beside my house to the top of the trail there was plenty of road riders out for a post work ride, clearly taking it easy as I managed to pass at least 6 of them riding my full sus mountain bike with 2.3” tyres on! Funniest one was this guy in the photos, not sure why (and should have asked) but he seemed to be pushing a ridiculously hard gear?! Didn’t look like fun anyway.

The descent is not long but from around 800m down to 200m but I have found quite a few trails up on this hill now and found a good way to link up the best ones. They are ones I have posted about before but having found how to link them up with a few very small uphills is great, nice twisty interesting singletrack allllll the way down the hill. Not sure why but I managed to get all the KOMs on the descents today, sweet!
